The composition of FA operate in terms of nine forest offices and a work unit.Lisičene Arboretum is located in the area of Forestry sector in Vocin, Virovitica- Podravina County and dates from 1963. It  occupies an area of approximately 40 hectares. There is a beech forest that is left  to be naturally developed. It slowly has a semblance to the rainforests and the rest of is an arboretum which can be divided into three units: unit that is impregnated with the holticulture cultivars, unit impregnated with the plants from North America and unit impregnated with plants from Europe and Asia.By 1990, the arboretum had between 1000 and 2000 different species of trees and shrubs. It was one of the largest and richest species arboretum in Croatia. There is a distinct validity in terms of conifer cultivars. It is said that this area covers the richest living collection of them in our country.During the war this area was devastated and occupied and all of the documentation on the impregnated plants destroyed. After the war, FA started  working in the arboretum. One of the first and foremost things was demining the entire area.In the period from 2002 to 2011, major part planted with the horticultural cultivars was cleaned and partially edited, and the plants were determined and marked.According to the work of Ph.D., associate professor Marilena Idžojtić, at tenured position at the Faculty of Forestry  Zagreb, 416 different species from 113 genders have been  determined so far.202 of them are deciduous trees , while others are evergreen. The most common genders are: juniper, gorse, cypress, pine trees…..There are test planes , unique material made by the controlled hybridization of four pine trees types.By the conduction of the project Nature No. 1, the remaining area will be cleaned and edited, plants on recently edited areas will be determined. By doing so, we will be able to know how many species are left in the arboretum.More to say, with the planned horticultural and infrastructural activities we will have a location of exceptional beauty and worthiness, which will serve its purpose educationally and scholarly and for all naturalists in terms of learning about the environment, relaxation and pleasant company.
